puppy class:

Puppy class is taught by Shelly Wallace. This class is for pure and mixed breeds from 3 to 6 months of age, who have never attended a formal class before and want to learn the basics (sit, down, stay, come, stand, controlled walking etc...). Owners will be educated about crate training, grooming, nutrition, and behavior modification. Puppies will be allowed to interact with other puppies and people in a CONTROLLED atmosphere and will be introduced to different surfaces and agility obstacles to develop and build confidence.

Beginners Obedience:

Beginners is for dogs over the age of 6 months. They will be taught sit, down, come, stay, and how to walk properly on a leash. all Classes will learn everything needed to take a CGC Test.

Novice/Advanced Rally:

Novice class is for those who are interested in sharpening up their obedience skills or working towards entering into obedience trials. This class will also work on Rally skills.

Beginner Rally:

In Rally class you will lean the basic signs involved in rally obedience. The dog and handler team move continuously through a rally course of 10-20 signs with the dog at the handler's left side. At each numbered sign they perform the indicated exercise then move to the next sign. Unlimited communication is encouraged - the handler can talk to the dog and give multiple commands and signals. CGC/TDI

This class will be taught on a demand basis. So if your interested in getting your dogs CGC or TDI email us at info@caninecareercenter.com with your request. CGC test is a test needed before the dog can become a TDI dog (therapy dog international). CGC is basically a manners test. TDI is a test that puts dogs in situations that they would see in hospitals, and nursing homes. All beginner classes are taught the CGC basics. fee for test only is $10 and you must pre register

Open & Utility:

This class is taught by Greta Marchus and Connie Neibecker. This class is less formal and does not follow a set pattern every week. The dogs are instructed in basic open work through utility. Utility dogs are kept up to date for UDX completion.
